Getaway (19 foot) Skiff (In Development)
The hull used on the Getaway 19 Skiff is the same hull we use on The Getaway 19 Crossover. It has a very similar layout to the Tug 25. It’s a lot bigger though and its suitable for surf launches and open ocean use. We use a larger console, the casting deck is a lot bigger and the seat/ hatch for the skipper incorporates a fish hatch, storage for safety equipment plus extra, storage for fishing tackle, lunch, snacks, jackets etc. It incorporates a live bait well on the port rear side connecting directly to the water the boat is in by simply opening 2 drain plugs. This allows for continued exchange of water in and out of the well. The front casting deck has a sneaker motor mount incorporated into the mould. There is a glassed in battery box for the dedicated sneaker motor under the casting deck, it has a stainless rail around the casting deck, the casting deck has an anchor hatch and 2 other lids allowing access to the underside of the casting deck for storage space. The console can be fitted with a T top or the conventional windscreen and wrap over stainless grab rail. The star board side rear box incorporates a 100mm service duct connecting the console and giving access out the side to the motors. This box also incorporates a glassed in battery box primarily for the motor. There is a 20mm service duct connecting this hatch to the underside of the casting deck for any electrical connections if required. The beauty of this and the Tug 25 boats lies in their simplicity and ease of functionality.
